Detail Freak part 1

At the pearly gates of chopper heaven sits Saint Paughco. One sunny day, it's always sunny, Arlen Ness floats up to the gates. Saint Paughco tell Mr. Ness that his old '47 knuck ruled the school but his antics during the past 25 years gets him a one-way ticket down! The next day Alan Stubbings appears. Saint Paughco says we've been waiting for you and goes into a well-deserved retirement.

RIP Jon Blank

jon blank of rezin and the wino band passed away saturday night after returning home from a triumphant european tour in support of the album punctuated equilibrium.

jon's sister posted the news on the rezin myspace page:

i only briefly met jon during sound check at the show we played with wino back in february.
it was, in fact, the very first live performance of that band.

it was easy to see the chemistry among the trio, and that jon was a consummate musician.
we were very much looking forward to seeing them again at the may 23rd show.

the funeral is tomorrow.
